The Kecksburg UFO incident.

Theories abound that the Earth is being observed by people from other planets for centuries. Just that we don’t know that is happening or that we were unaware. Who can place a concept of time on the possibility? It is only within the last century that mankind has developed as a specious. During the previous nineteen centuries, man might have been blissfully unaware that they were being watched and studied by aliens, who are millions of years ahead of us in technical and intellectual development. It is only within the past one hundred to one hundred and fifty years that we have made even minor technological inroads on a global scale. The effects that that progress and technology has had on our planet is questionable. It may take another century or two to correct it!
In the meantime, evidence of the fact that we are not alone on this atmosphere is growing daily. One of the first major incidents that set the temperature rising was the reported crash of a UFO near to the town of Kecksburg, in the state of Pennsylvania, USA on the 9th of December 1965.
In those days of innocence, the incident was created with great enthusiasm. Nowadays, where there is more cynicism about, many of those who are skeptical about the overwhelming possibility that we might not be alone in this stratosphere, are inclined to ask. Why these UFO’s are always sighted over the USA? The answers could be that either-
- The aliens recognize that the United States of America are a more sophisticated race than some of the others on the face of the planet, and would prefer to make contact with them.
- The population of other continents of the World is less technically aware, and is less inclined to notice UFOs in the sky. If they did, they might even be frightened to report them, due to their natural fear of the authorities of the countries that they live in.
In 1965, this was not the case in the United States at least before the 9th of December. That was the date that a large fireball was seen in sky over six states in the mid west as well as over Ontario, Canada. Such was the intensity and power of this UFO that it even sent out a series of sonic booms over Pennsylvania, where it appeared to partially disintegrate and crash in a wooded area near the small and friendly town of Kecksburg, situated some thirty miles southwest of Pittsburgh. Most people shrugged of this incident as a meteor that had fallen to Earth, and the authority’s silence on the incident did nothing to help make the average layman of these times change their opinion.
However any one in the know in those days about UFOs had an entirely different viewpoint on the matter.
The first people who arrived on the scene were the local fire department, who were astounded to discover that the object that had crash landed in the woods was a metallic object, acorn shaped with the dimensions of a small family saloon. No sooner had these volunteers recovered from their initial shock, than a convoy of unmarked vehicles arrived on the scene bearing scores of what appeared to government officials wearing military fatigues but without markings. These officials were clearly put out of their stride by having their arrival pre-empted by the local fire department, and quickly ushered them from the scene of the landing, declaring it a “closed military area”
Nothing was ever mentioned again in the press, and when questioned on the subject, the best explanation was that a small meteor had come down in the woods near Kecksburg. Anyone who saw this firebomb over Pennsylvania will tell you that it was flying in a straight line till it gradually flew into the Earth. If the object had been a meteor of any size it would have fallen straight down at a tremendous speed and its impetus would have caused tremendous damage.
Many of the local people were convinced that some kind of cover up was going on, and the theory was that it might have been the remains of an early Soviet space craft that crashed to Earth. In recent years, with more transparency, NASA officials have disallowed this theory. So that leaves us with the mystery , of what landed in the woods at Kecksburg more than forty years ago. The chances are that we will never know.
What this incident proved was that in those days, the authorities were very reluctant for the public at large to be too well informed regarding contact with possible visitors from outer space. Nowadays it much more common for these encounters to become rapid public knowledge. Mainly because more and more people are walking around these days with some form of camera and video recorder in their pockets. Visual proof is much more difficult to cover up these days.
Form you own opinion of what went down at Kecksburg by scanning the following short report. It was issued a few years after the incident.
