28Ever since Wilbur and Orville Wright made their first flight, the curiosity of mankind has become aroused to an intriguing possibility. The possibility that if we are able to produce machines that fly here on Earth, maybe there are other civilizations out there in the universe that have also developed the same skills that these intrepid inventors mastered way back when.
The enthralling prospect that visitors from outer space can make their way to planet Earth on spacecraft that they have developed is one that has kept millions of people looking to the skies ever since.
During the whole of the twentieth century developments in flight have continued unabated, first within the Earth’s atmosphere and from the early sixties onwards outwith it. When man first set foot on the moon in July 1969, an unbelievable milestone was reached. Since then space flight has become fairly routine and there are manned space stations circling the Earth around the clock, and have been since the mid nineteen eighties.
Whilst all of these developments in flight have been taking place on Earth, many more millions of people are continuing to look to the skies to see when we will receive some form of payback for all of our efforts. With all the information available from these increasingly sophisticated space flights, the prospect that there really maybe other forms of life out there has only increased.
Since the late forties, there have been incidences of sightings that have given strength to arguments that we are being observed by aliens from other planets.
Many claim that the most plausible contacts are being recorded by the US government through their massive telescopes situated in New Mexico, or in cooperation with the Australians who also have a similar facility.
These contacts appear to being withheld from public view, which only succeeds to heighten interest and make them more inclined unofficial viewings, which have become increasingly common place in recent years.
There are several theories why sightings among members of the public are becoming more common especially in the past few years. With the advent of the digital age, almost everyone living in one of the developed countries walks around with at least one camera on them, usually as part of a mobile phone or a blackberry mini computer. So one of these space craft suddenly drops down out of the sky, at least now there is a chance that there visit to our planet might be recorder for eternity. Before the arrival of the digital camera and recorder, the only shots available were very grainy and blurred, and almost impossible to take seriously.
These digital cameras have brought a new clarity to these images of visitors from outer space. If get a chance to see one of them, especially some of the more recent ones on YouTube, MetaCafe or Google Video you are bound to be impressed. But you should be aware that there is a strong chance that these short videos may be a fabrication. With digital photography came rapid development in a form of animated computer software known as CGI. This software is capable of superimposing animations on to any background and it is pretty simple to create a short movie of around thirty seconds that will give the impression of space ships flying overhead in any city or location in the World.
There were two short films introduced recently on YouTube, where you wouldn’t need to be a rocket scientist to recognize that they were fabricated. One shows two UFOs flying over Paris which is so obviously stage managed that it is ludicrous. The other UFOs over the Caribbean island of Haiti are a bit more believable.
Only when one day a space craft actually lands on Earth, and we get to meet the occupants will we begin to believe that we do have friends in high places!
